Orlando Pride stage improbable rally to force 3-3 tie with North Carolina
It was quite a comeback to force a tie for the Orlando Pride on Saturday. Trailing 3-0 at halftime, the Pride rallied for three second-half goals to force a 3-3 tie in the fourth and final game of the Prideโs Fall Series games. After goals by Marisa Viggiano in the 54th minute and Kristen Edmonds in the 71st minute, the Pride tied the game in stoppage time on a goal by Ally Haran. The Pride finished 0-2-2 during their four games.
Bad second half costs Orlando Pride in 3-1 loss to Houston
Two goals in the second half lifted the Houston Dash to a 3-1 over the Orlando Pride on Saturday night in Houston. Houston opened the scoring in the 27th minute on a goal by Nichelle Prince, but the Pride tied the game in extra time right before halftime on a goal by Marisa Viggiano. But the Dash took control on a goal by Sophie Schmidt in the 55th minute and another in the 72nd minute by Shea Groom. The chances were heavily in favor of the Dash, who outshot the Pride by a 27-6 margin. Next up is a rematch with the dash on Oct. 9, this time at Osceola County Stadium.
Pride open up fall series action with 0-0 tie at North Carolina
The Orlando Pride opened up their fall series of play with a scoreless draw at the North Carolina Courage on Saturday. The Pride withstood a barrage of shots from the Courage, who outshot the Pride, 18-6, and had eight corner kicks to four for Orlando. Orlando will next be in action next Saturday at the Houston Dash in what will be the second of four games played during their fall series.
NWSL players kneel during the national anthem

In addition to the anthem, the players knelt for a moment of silence before kickoff. The league said Friday that it would play the national anthem before the Challenge Cup games and that it would support the players in whatever they chose to do. The monthlong Challenge Cup opened Saturday with a pair of games at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. Megan Rapinoe, who plays for OL Reign but opted out of the Challenge Cup, was criticized when she knelt at a NWSL game and a pair of national team games in 2016.
Orlando Pride withdraws from Challenge Cup after players and staff test positive for COVID-19
ORLANDO, Fla. The Orlando Pride announced the team has withdrawn from the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup after players and staff tested positive for COVID-19. The team did not say how many players or staff members tested positive. The players and staff members who tested positive were asymptomatic. Players and staff who tested positive will be isolated for at least 14 days, according to team officials. The players and staff who tested positive did not have any contact with any players from Orlando City.
Pride fall to Utah, remain winless on season
ORLANDO โ A poor start to the season didnโt get much better for the Orlando Pride on Saturday. The Pride are now winless in four games to start the year following a 1-0 loss to the Utah Royals at Orlando City Stadium. Christen Press scored the gameโs only goal in the 19th minute for the Royals, who ended up outshooting the Pride, 17-15. The Pride did have 10 corner kicks to Utahโs five, but they couldnโt cash in on those chances and fell to 0-3-1 on the season. Next up for the Pride is a game at the Houston Dash on May 5.
Pride lose to Portland, fall to 4th place
ORLANDO โ Another team jumped the Orlando Pride in the National Womenโs Soccer League standings on Saturday. Lindsay Horan and Hayley Raso scored six minutes apart early in the second half to lead the Portland Thorns to a 2-0 win over the Pride at Orlando City Stadium. Not only did the Pride see the Thorns leapfrog them into third place in the league standings, but the Pride have still yet to beat the Thorns at home in franchise history. The Thorns are now in third place with 32 points, two points ahead of the fourth-place Pride. The Pride (8-6-7) will hit the road again for a 7 p.m. game at North Carolina next Saturday night.
Orlando Pride play to 1-1 tie against Seattle
ORLANDO โ The Orlando Pride did something it hadnโt done in nearly two months on Saturday. For the first time since June 3, a game involving the Pride resulted in a tie, as the Pride and Seattle Reign played to a 1-1 draw at Orlando City Stadium in the first of a three-game homestead for the Pride. Orlando took a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute on a goal by Toni Pressley, and for almost 50 minutes the Pride was able to make the lead stand up. But Seattle tied the game at 1-1 in the 70th minute on a goal by Jodie Taylor, and neither team could find the back of the net from that point on. The Pride now have a week off before continuing their homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday against New Jersey.
Orlando Pride rally past Utah to win on road again
SANDY, UTAH โ The Orlando Pride resumed their ways of winning road games Saturday. Alex Morgan and Kristen Edmonds each scored to lift the Pride to a 2-1 win at the Utah Royals, the second time the Pride left Utah with at least a point following a 0-0 tie at Utah on May 9. After a seven-game road unbeaten streak ended on Wednesday at Houston, the Pride got back on track and improved to 5-3-2 this season on the road. Utah took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute on a goal by Amy Rodriguez, but Morgan converted a penalty kick in stoppage time towards the end of the first half to tie the game at 1-1. The Pride will now come home to play their next three games at Orlando City Stadium, starting with a 3:30 p.m. contest next Saturday against Seattle.
Marta's goal in final minutes lift Pride to win over Washington
ORLANDO โ The Orlando Pride needed some late heroics to avoid going winless on their three-game homestand, and Marta provided just that. With just four minutes left until stoppage time, Marta scored off an assist from Sydney Leroux to give the Pride a 2-1 win over the Washington Spirit at Orlando City Stadium. โIt was a really tight game in the end in the scoreline but we had seven good chances to score in the first 12 minutes. They consolidated a little bit and then got that opening goal, which made life obviously a lot more difficult then. Next up for the Pride is a game at the Houston Dash at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

BOYDS, MD โ The Orlando Pride are about to start a stretch where they will play six of their next eight games at home, but that might be a good thing with how dominant the Pride have been on the road. The Pride extended their road unbeaten streak to six games on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over the Washington Spirit. The only goal of the game was by Alanna Kennedy, who scored in the 11th minute of the game. The Pride held on the rest of the way and improved to 6-3-4 on the season. Ashlyn Harris recorded the shutout in goal for the Pride, who will start a three-game homestead against Houston on Wednesday.

ORLANDO - โ The Orlando Pride opened up the 2018 season with a 1-1 draw against the expansion Utah Royals in front of over 9,000 fans at Orlando City Stadium on Saturday. Utah opened the scoring just three minutes into the game, but Orlando tied it in the 19th minute on a goal by Marta. Following a shot by Dani Weatherholt that was saved by Utah goalie Becky Sauerbrunn, Marta put home the rebound to become the franchise's all-time leading scorer. Orlando will play its second game of the season March 31 at Washington.
Pride play to draw against Sky Blue FC
PISCATAWAY, N.J. โ Eighteen games into its expansion season, Orlando Pride picked up its first draw of the National Womenโs Soccer League (NWSL) season with a 1-1 stalemate at Sky Blue FC. The Pride will see a short turnaround before their next match, hosting Sky Blue in just three days at Camping World Stadium. It will be the third match in a week for the Pride, who have two home matches remaining in their inaugural season. Evans sent the Pride captain running with a lofted ball over the Sky Blue backline, which Morgan let bounce once before firing in a shot from the arc with her left foot. ET kickoff against Sky Blue, the Pride will close the 2016 season on Sept. 24 at 5 p.m.
Orlando Pride debuts new uniforms
ORLANDO, Fla. โ Orlando's new women's soccer team is beaming with pride after the team finally unveiled its new official uniforms. Alex Morgan and company will be sporting purple jerseys with the Orlando Health logo, similar to Orlando City's jerseys. The club recently launched the campaign #FilledWithPride to rally supporters to break the National Women's Soccer League's single-match attendance record of 21,144 fans. The Pride will take the field for its first home game next Sunday against Houston.

ORLANDO, Fla. โ Orlando Pride announced its complete season roster during the opening week of the 2016 National Womenโs Soccer League, according to Major League Soccer's website. "Pride has signed midfielder Sam Witteman, the Clubโs first-ever selection in the 2016 NWSL College Draft. A versatile midfielder, Witteman made at least one start in seven different positions in her senior season at Berkeley. Defenders: Laura Alleway (INTโL-AUS), Josรฉe Bรฉlanger (FP-CAN), Steph Catley (INTโL-AUS), Kristen Edmonds, Monica Hickmann Alves (INTโL-BRA), Cami Levin, Toni Pressley.
