Daytona Beach sees record-high temperatures

The heat has been the story again on Thursday in Central Florida.

In Daytona Beach, we did get a new record high. The temp shot up to 97, breaking the old record from 1978.

In Orlando, the high also hit 97, but we missed a record by 1 degree.

For Friday, expect much more of the same.

Wind: Increasing from the south-southwest at 15-20mph, gusting up to 30mph.
